Workout: rest.
When I made the changes last week to my training schedule to get ready for the race on Sunday, I'd neglected to make accommodations for the day after the race. Originally it was slated to be 9 miles with 4 of those at 15K pace.
By 9pm Sunday night, it was clear to me that this was not such a good idea. Though I'd felt fresh throughout the day, by evening I was rapidly tiring and feeling some soreness. As such I made a command decision to move my rest day that week to Monday, and shift all other workouts (except the Wednesday evening hill fest) back one day.
This proved to be quite wise.
